Dear Helen,
This is the Sabbath & I am sitting with Marion while Ina is taking some rest. She has taken all the night care of Marion as she felt she could not trust any one else & it has told on her. I did not care to go to church this morning & so stayed with Marion. Ina had the Suptcy of the Sabbath school & is organist &c for the church service. Last evening two classes of the SS met on the church lawn. the young ladies class & the young men / there had been a contest between the two classes & the girls lost out so it was their treat. After meeting on the church lawn they took the young men down town & treated them to ice cream & cake. they baked the cakes themselves. After that they came back to the church lawn & played games. I could see them from my window, there were 28 of them, they played mostly Ruth & Jacob, formed a ring & blindfolded Jacob& he must catch Ruth. I could tell by their laughing & noise they were having a jolly time & the moonlight was lovely. they went home just in time to not break the sabbath. One of these young ladies intends to go as a missionary

Marion is slowly improving. still has one degree of fever. sits up a few moments at a time. looks very hollow eyed.

I am sending my advice to "Egbert" this week & hope if you have not sent yours in you will at once & later I will try to send the skeleton of the subject I want you to write up a piece. Mamma spoke about an apron I left there I surely think she is mistaken. I had 5 aprons & have 5 here. it must belong to some of you folks dont waste stamps on it

Am very anxious to hear how PaPa got along in St Louis. suppose you are enjoying him / at home to day.

Did you get your new dress done. I think your mama said in her letter it was done. I'm sure it is pretty. Write me when you can & all the news

with love & a kiss
