Dear Mother, I am here at this place sick but among friends. I am stopping with a lady, the wife of a Physician by the name of J. H. Bushnell. I could not travel on the cars I found and so I had to wait awhile. I would have telegraphed for you had there been any chance to get the despatch off promptly. I send this to Capt. W. H. Ellis to have him take it at once to you.

I am very weak I assure you

Dear Mother Good Bye
