Ebenezer Andrews Batchelor
Ebenezer Andrews Batchelor was born on January 30, 1809, in Sutton, Massachusetts, to Josiah and Susanna Batchelor. He married Elsy Plimpton on July 14, 1840, and they had at least two children: William, born around 1842; and Alfred, born around 1843. They lived in Northbridge, Massachusetts, and he worked as a machinist. By 1850, he owned $1,500 of real estate. A decade later, census enumerators recorded no real estate and only $75 of personal property. He returned to Sutton in the 1860s. He died in Rhode Island on January 21, 1876.
