Dear Cousin
According to my promise I embrace the present opportunity to inform you of our safe arrival home that eve after we left you under the full conviction of having spent the day very pleasantly & happy
Well! the all absorbing question seems to be how did you spend the "Fourth" & where? As for my part it was the meanest day or at least I felt the meanest of any day I have seen in a / long long time I trust you spent it much pleasanter
Have you heard from Ed if so has he recovered. I sincerely hope the boys will live to return to their friends once more
When are you coming over to make us a visit I hope before long I declare I beleive I shall die of ennui if I don't have something to releive the dull monotony of work
I was sorry I did not say something more particular to you about your Sisters I wish they would come over & see us we all want to see them very much indeed
You must write me all about the people and also be sure & remember to / appoint a time when you will have me meet you in Sandy Hook now Mary please dont disappoint me
I must now close as it is getting late—hoping to see you soon. My love to all enquiring friends.
Yours
Marion
P.S. Have Delia come with you perhaps she will be more favorably impressed with the people over this way
