Wallace Stickney Esq
As I have just finish writing to Mother I will answer your letter you spoke about that long one I wrote to you but wallace I dont get time to write only Sundays and they dont like to have me write then for they ar so strict on the Sabbath they ar anteburghers and keep the Sabath very strick but they cant help them selves for I go up stairs and write they have not sayd any thing about writing on Sunday but the hired man told me if they knew I wrote on Sunday they would not like it but they dont know it
Wallace it is just the pleasantest place here I ever saw it is just as dry here now as in June the roads ar dry people ar plowing here some planting potatoes I have plowd one day I have been handling straw they have presst over 200 tons of straw to send off South but have got 100 tons of hay to press yet but I shant have to help press it for I am going to work on the farm wallace I drive a yoke of oxen looks just like your old buck & line you had and they ar just as handy as any thing can be you dont have to get off the wagon to turn them round so I can ride after them
Wallace how does unkle mitchels folks get a long unkle oren ask me how they was and I thought I would ask you for I thought perhaps you would know he ask me if any of them girls was married I told him know but I was afraid I had told him a lie for I dident know but you went to be marid you could not wait to do the chorse but wallace write and tell me how Sarah is so I can tell unkle oren I guess I have wrote anough about that I must have a little fun up stairs here all a lone with my hat on I stick by that as much as ever
