To my Dear Darling I hope this few lines may find you and my Darling Baby well the Raves did not come over to day but to night I will look for them dont grieve for me My Dear shugar candy
 
I am well My Dear Chisum give for lite wood 3 dollars per cord Lucus gives four dolars
 
Per cord and five foot high and no ratts holes in the cord so I will hafter take three if I cant get the steam boat to do it
 
Charity is as gentle as a dog Dear nothing more
 
My Dear wife but remain yours

I will get home Saturday if nothing happins Hyatt rave is in they wont get to the warft tel monday morning February 6 1859
