My Dear wife
After my doo respect to you and children I seat my self one more to write you a few lines to in form you that I am well at present praying that these few lines may fine you all enjoying the same May god bless you all I think I will be home be fore long if I dont come home soon John will come back and stay a while in my place for me to come then John ses he will get Hester for me if I need her but I dont think iwill need her there is one sick man hear sertin my duty is very lite I ant expose none at all
I hope that god will bless my darling wife and children and ever guard direct you in the path ways of duty and save ous at lass is my prayr for his name sake Take care of your self and children for your Darling tel I come John can explane every thing to you better than I can rite I have never got neary letter from you sence this old man come May god ever bless you all is my prayr for his name sake
