Dear wife After my best respects to you and little ones I drop you a few lines wich I hope may find you all well as it leaves me up again I so oneasy about my dear little ones and sweat Darling one that I dont now what to doo about it there is so manny out of camp tel I could not get off yet thou I will try and get off as soon as I can do it you must get Jas to come down and let me hear how you is I think I can get a negro from old Dr Loans he has moove to John Hills old place and will have some of his negrows I will get / John Gruber to see him and hire some one to stay with you if I cant get no one to make a crop I must get Gruber to see Mary Cattles and get her to stay with you Do my dear let me no how you is and all about things I will try and come home as soon as I can to see my sweet ones I must close I god will bless my dear ones at home and soon end this war I remain your Loving Husband untel Death
