Camp Jeffords Green Pond March the 12/63
Dear wife after my best love to you I drop you a few lines wich I trust may find you all well as it leaves me well there is nothing new to write this time kiss Pahs poor little boys for him Pah will come home as soon as he can. Dear wife i am sorrow to here that you would take all the children on grub and let him throw you all it is only the mercy of god that you and Pahs poor little ones did not get kill though I have got one now that wont hurt you you can put her in the bugy when you gow eny way take good care of her and she will soon pay for her self She is perfectly gentle My horse is on a decline he is to young to stand camp life well so he is getting thin I was offered 200 dollars for him and 225 for the mare so I have to pay 25 dollars to boot but dont say eny thing Albert it I will try and get off soon as posible for to get peper from Mah You can pay her half of the loot now if you have the money to spear I paid Shariden his money the outher day we will draw our money soon now /
I think my dear it will be a bad chance to get eny one to plow I have tried evry way and cant get no one at all I will try and engage it in time willis sais he will let me have all he has to spair the next year do my sweet one take care of your darling self for me Tel dave he must strike hard this summer and make a heep of corn so to let me have some of it he must not let my little ones suffer for I look uppon him as the best friend I have Tel all houdy for me I will slip home soon as posible there is order for no one to go out of hearing of the horn but the Capt will let me slip of for 24 hours ithink do my sweet one dont be oneasy about me I will take the best care of my self I can and I hope god will be with me and my sweet ones at home Tel Anney I aint got neary letter from her yet may god bless you all is the prayr of one that love you above every thing in the world we will baptise 2 this eaving
