My dear wife I hope this may find you and little ones all well i am still not well i am up again i suffer very much with hed ache My hed has not been easy since I got back to camp but i hope it will soon be better again We have now news here worth writing there is 2 men exit of [?] Co gone to the yankeys that was drawn out My dear wife plant the cain and try and save 2 hundred for Postell if posible he has all ways been so good to ous i would like to oblige him if posible My dear wife I trust this war wont last much longer now i am so tired of it My dear wife i hope you will get James to see how much lether he can get for me and get it rite off dave has / he promis me get that and the lether that Jas has for me and Stephen Ackerman sent me word that i could have some of his as much as i wanted try and get it rite off i can make money off of it i know these 20 year bonds wont be worth much to ous we mite not live that long and they will be all counterfit as soon as the war is over eny where I will try and get my likness for you as soon as i can mabee i will send it by Gruber if i get to see him and have the opportunity of getting it My loved one take care of your sweet self for me oh how i want to see you and little ones you must ween the baby so you will get well again god bless and comfort you Fare well H.
