My dear wife i hope this may reach you in due time and find you all well and doing well i am well again working on old shoes hand down it is a nasty job i much rather fix your old shoes than to work on these My dear wife i aint got any thing worth writing only our Capt has resine and Tracy i expect will be our Capt with out a chance i hope neither him nor Loring will be our Capt but i truly fear that one or the outher will be times is hard a nuff all reddy but they will be worst with ous then i am a fraid i trust that the Lord may help ous threw with so many difficulties my mind is worn out entirely with such changes of things one day one order and the next some thing els. times is still hard here i have not eat a doocen / meals in our mess since I came back that is of the goverment stores we get some of the poorest beef in the world to eat and it not half clean thrown down in the dirt and every thing els that is nasty My dear doo try and save a few cain for Postell and let me now when you go to write a letter to me all ways like the last one i write and write what i want to now Tel the children all houdy for pah i will try and get off as soon as Rayson gets in command so that i can get my pass if i was to send it up by Loring he would fix it so that i would not get it he is such a scamp. My dear doo the best you can and pray for me i will try and serve the Lord and trust in him nothing more but I remain your loving ougly Husband untel Death  Fare well wife
