My dear wife i hope this may reach you in due time and find all well. I feel very unwell this morning, with a bad head ache. My dear this will in form you that my pass was disapproved, by so maney going at once to Hd Qrs but I hope i will get off some way be fore long you must send some leather to Allen Willis as soon as you get this send a good peace or 2 be shure to send it My dear i cant make eny thing now tel I get some leather to work with doo my dear send it rite off you mite send it all by willis wagon the wagon will come down by thursday you better send all you got i reckon my sweet one We put 5 men in guard tent last nite for runing the block Tracy will be Capt soon Smith is gone home
My dear i have not got a letter in a long time from you
I have nothing new to write at present i hope to hear from you soon and hear all the news from home. i want to see home so bad i wish this war could end some way or nother i am too tired of this life if it was not for my sweet ones i would rather be ded than a live, truble truble, all the time for poor me and disappointments fear that my life is a reched one here in camp My dear you must pray for me iwill try and get off soon as posible home. iwish times could get better than they is now i would rather live on bred and water at home than a pound cake hear. we cant go out of sight hear with out a pass. My dear send the leather, if Willis wagon is gone be fore you get this letter send it by Spell. nothing more at this time I only want you to be leave me to be your Loving affectionate Husband untel Death Henry H.
