My Dear wife Tel Mother an all houdy for me and dont for get to pray for me while I am hear in this wicked camp the best place for me is off by my self where I can pray there I have fresh repose I feel that god is with me in ever time of need. it has been the means of bringing me closer to the cross of Christ than I ever was be fore you must pray for me I will pray for my children and my Darling Wife one that love me so well My Dear wife you must not shed tears over this letter but thank god that he has bless me and preserved me this far May he ever sheild ous all from the dangers we are expose to hear while travling through this world of wo you would like to now some thing about the enemy I dont think there is eny more danger hear than is at home for they dont aim to come out hear where we is /
 
I will come to a close after writing so long a letter as this to My Darling wife may god bless you and enable you to take ever thing that he has done in confidence that he will not let his children suffer I have that faith to belive that he will cary ous through thes trubles safe May god bless and preserve ous all is my prayr to god I remain your Loving husband untel death
