Louisa Craig
Louisa Craig was born around 1842 in Pennsylvania to Alexander Craig and Sebella Kern. Her father was a farmer who owned $8,850 of real estate and $2,000 of personal property by 1860. Louisa grew up and attended school in Derry, Pennsylvania, and she maintained a correspondence with her neighbor James Wilson Barnett during the Civil War. She married James Brown Moore around 1865, and they had at least three children: Mary Louisa, born around 1867; John Alexander, born around 1870; and James Craig, born around 1874. The family lived in Derry, and her husband worked as a machinist. They moved to Triadelphia, West Virginia, by the early 1900s. Her husband died in 1907, and she died in Wheeling, West Virginia, on May 21, 1910.
