Dear Wife I will drop you a few lines more as long as ihave the chance of doing so though nothing of much importance to write at this time as long as iwrite so often to you My Dear you must write just as often to me as I write to you it is all most like a visit to me to git a letter from home you get more letters than i doo I have got lether a nuff to make Jas and George and Henry a pair of shoes I will try and get some to make my dear one a pair too Pah will fix them nice for his little boys with red binding round them kiss them Mother for Pah O if Pah could only see my sweet ones once more in peace and happiness to stay with my sweet ones again what a happy time it / would bee I pray to god that he may loose peace in our land and contry and that he may preserve our lives that we may live manny a happier day together again in peace and love and in unity and in love May god bless my sweet ones keep you from all harm and sheild them from all harm and comfort you in all your distresses and and save you at last in his kingdom is the prayr of your loving Husband untel Death
