Dear Sir
I wrote you a few lines to let you know we have stopt in collin County you will pleas write to me to Highland Texas and send me my discharge also give me what information you can about my pay pleas also to give me the general news of that country The war fever runs high here Collin County has and will send out 4 or 5 hundred men we have or been sorry we did not go into the servis in your company it is vary sickly here we have all bin sick Except my respects and give the same to all you men I am acquainted with
