Thomas Halsey Medical Examination, 27 October 1863
Wytheville Va Oct 27th 1863
This is to certify that I have carefully examined Thomas Halsey a private of "Co" 'A' 4th Va Regt Inft—and find that he is wholy unfit for the performance of Military duty, because of a wound in the left Groin (ball not extracted) received at Gettesburg. I further state as my belief that he will not be able to return to duty in a less period, than (30) Thirty days if that soon
