Manassas July 4th

Forth of July and where I was last Fourth in the Fort I wonder where I shall be next year at this time I hope I shall be at home it is bad I tell you we are going to stay here to day but we have marching orders tord some for Warrenton or some other place. I think we go to Warrenton. I am sorry that we march to day for I thought I would take time to write a long letter but tis not possible it is about 8 O'clock and it is very hot and I think it will be very oppressive in the middle day I will write again the first favorable opportunity I have heard the news from [faded] may be we are going there. kiss the children for me give my love to all and believe me to be your most Obt
