Rufus Hamilton
Rufus Hamilton was born around 1801 in Oxford County, Maine. He got married, and he had several children, including James, who was born on November 25, 1836. The family moved to Grand Detour, Illinois, in May 1848, and he worked as a blacksmith there. His wife probably died around 1856. He died in 1866.
