Unknown to Friend, 4 February 1880
Dear Friend.—This fine morn after the snow storm I find myself thinking of you. Please excuse this poor compensation for your nice letter but no doubt when your father comes he can tell you the news so much better than I can write. He called here and said he would again before he returned. Our school closes this week. I shall visit it if I feel as well as I do now. Our Circle met last time with Mrs G. Houghton a good number present. I went. Mr B. brought me home. Fannie has just gone to school presume even at this time you are studying. Your Uncle M. and his wife called here the day Mr Alvin Hall was burried week ago Monday. how very suddenly he was called home. well he was ready to go, which is the best of all. Remember me with love to all and let me hear from you once in a while Rebecca is visiting in West Millbury this week. I miss her very much for you know I go out very little this winter.            So Sutton. Feb 4. 1880.                      From E. B.
