A. C. Gibson to Cousins, undated
Dear cousins:—I was very glad to hear from you once more yes theres been several snows. One severe cold spell, 12 below. Outside of that excepting a few days the winter has been pleasant so far—

Sometime ago I was looking thru boxes that had not been opened for yrs, and found this picture that I know you will appreciate and value as no one els will. Mary I presume you have some like it. It is just as he looked when he came home from the army and was / staying at our house, and as you first knew him—and the ring he said was made from a silver dime. We were scuffling one day and I got hold of this ring and kept it as girls will sometimes do—and wore it for yrs. I wish I could tell you that I am well I have stomach trouble acidity and ulceration. Many things I do not eat. Do not get much help. Yes Mary A. is lonely. She has written me several letters since Ross passed away. Hope this finds you well

yes I wish I could drop in and see you all. Love A C Gibson
