Dear Lizzie
                        I received yours of the tenth inst last eve & was glad to hear from you & to hear you & Master Bailey went through safe & found all the friends all well This leaves me pretty well to day I have had a vary sevear attact of the cramp collic it lasted me 24 hours before I could get any thing to opperate but I am all right now We have had grate times here scence you left Francis & Horice Penwill have both inlisted & past examination & will leave for camp at Portland Tuesday Our townd have filed up their quota & I beleave all the rest of the towns have done the same in York County 
 
We have received a letter from Paul & Collins they are in Maryland Paul is sick but Collins is well & rugged I think the most that ales Paul is the want of rest probley they will have a chance to rest som
 
                        Our folks are all well as far as I know. I dont think I shal go to the ware jest yet if I felt able I should start at once & go out with Paul & Collins to take care of them but I am a fraid to try it. I want you to get through with your visit as soon as posiable & come home for you dont know how lonesom it is here without you & Bailey. Give my love to Tib the Deacon Olive & famly Our folks joyne in sending love to you & kisses to Bailey Write again soon
