Dear Sister
I take my pen in hand to inform you that i am well at present hopeing these few lines will find yous all well also i would have wrote sooner only i was waiting to be sent to my Regiment but i wont be sent for another while until i get paid i expect that will be next the tenth of this month
I have wrote a letter to mary Morrison three weeks ago and got no answer yet i directed it to President street near 3rd Avenue Brooklyn N.Y. Ask Ferdinand if he knows a man here by the name of eyebrows No more at present from your Brother
