Dear Sister
I take my pen in hand to write these few lines to you hopeing to find you all in good health as i am in at present
I received them papers today thats a great loss for that Asylum to be burned down
I dont expect to be sent back to my Regiment until i get paid i cant tell when that will be perhaps in less than a week when you write let me know how is John getting along or is he pedling for pat yet also let me know did Mary get that letter i wrote to her i hav not much to write at present Direct as before
