Dear Sister
I write you these few lines to let you know that i am well at present hopeing to find yous all well also i left the hospital and was sent out here to this camp to be examined to see if i am fit for duty and if i am not i will get my discharge there is about 30,000 men here to be examined after leaving the hospitals there is very hard times here it is anough to freeze a fellow and no wood to make a fire we can hardly get anough to cook our grub with
I wish you could send me one or two dollars and when i get paid i will send you double the amount i might have plenty of money only i bought a watch for 20 dollars shortly after Ferdinand left me which i am sorry for now
i have not much more to say at present write soon
