Camp Convalescent December 3rd/62
Dear Sister
I received your letter today i am glad to hear that yous are all well for i am in good health at present
I wish you would send me that coal for the eyes is near melted out of us burning wood
I received them two dollars in the letter which i am much obliged to you for i am going to write Mary Morrison a letter after i finish this one John should not refuse that good offer he got the next time you see him tell him to have a good job for me ile soon be home and have a wife for me tell him i want to know how much wages hel give me to pedle for him tell Ferdinand it is just 4 Oclock by my time / I can tell him the time of day but i cant recolect when sunday comes every day is the same to us out here how are you Eyebrows Ferdinand i seen eyebrows since I expect i will be here a long time before i am sent to my Regiment i have a steady job for this winter plenty to eat and drink only rum there is none of that to be had i give the rations out to the soldiers i have 20 dollars a month
i must conclude by sending my best wishes to you all
