Dear Father,
I take my seat this morning to inform you that I am not very well I have the Bowl Complaint and sour stumache, wich makes me feel very week But I think I will soon be over this I am getting better now. The Comishioners have come to pay us and in fact they are paying it to us this minute and I am scending home $40.00 of mine by A. T. Beckette and likely we will / get all to day which we will do, and you will receive it all too except $10.00 wich I will keep and you can do what you please with it I owe Oscar Livingston $18.50, Oscar Gantee $1.25, and the store keepers some at Everton, and Dock Silvey some and you can pay all of those debts for me and I will be thankful to you kind Father, for I dont expect that I will come home untill I get back from Kentuckey. we are going wright off for arrangements to go thare to day
well I am writeing a great del to day and we are in confusion confusion we are have drawed our arms this morning. well they are the nicessest guns that I ever saw in my life well have saw about 7,000 thousand soldiers. They come all times in the day and at night you get up in the morning and see a new Regiment of soldiers camped close around you. I can see the cars at any hour in the day we are camped close to the depot
well I will have to close you must all take care of your selves for I dont know how soon I will have a chance to see you. write soon as you can find out where to direct, so good
