Henry H. Starkweather to William H. Tubbs, 30 January 1871
Forty first Congress U.S.
House of Representatives.
Washington D.C. Jan 30, 1871
Wm. H. Tubbs Esq
Dear Sir:
I have made several efforts to secure the Washburn pension. At the pension office they referred me to the Navy Department, but his name does not appear in the Bureau of Surgery. This is the main trouble that there is no record of disability there.
[overleaf]
I shall not give it up and will secure a favorable result if possible.
Yours Truly
W. H. Starkweather
