Dear Father I rejoice that I have an opportunity to drop you a few lines which I trust will reach you. I am enjoying very good health and have ever since I have been a prisoner except bad cold which I had about two weeks ago. I am growin very anxious to hear from all of you at home and want you to write but you must not write but one page of letter paper without enter lineing or it will not come
Levi Britt, Allen & Daniel Martin Levi Wright, W. C. & B. B. Moore are all well except Allin Martin has diarhoeia very bad Isaac Freeman was sent out to the hospital in a very low state with the bloody flux not heard of since. William McKinnon was also sent to the hospital with chronic Diarhea I have heard from him once since he was very low he was very glad to see me and to hear from home I must close this limited letter when you write Address N. Deaton Co I. 6th Division Point Lookout Md Prisoners camp
