Dear Father                

After a long delay I again purpose to write you a few words I received your letter of march 20^th Apr^l 19^th I was glad to hear from you all to know all was well this leaves me in good health hopeing that you are all the same as to health. the rest of the boys are well. I suppose B. B. Moore is dead Serg^t M^cIntosh & Britt Saunders arived here the 18^th and also A. M. Fields. health is generally good here Lieu^t M[?] M^cLeod is also prisoner

 

I am still makeing finger rings which is ready sale at a fair price.

 

I still look forward and hope we will be exchanged soon
