Mrs Sarah Jane Deaton
Dear Sister
I embrace the present opportunity of droping you a few lines to let you know how we all are. We are all tolerable well except Father he had the shingles about a month a go and has never got over them yet he has had a fever for several days and he was not a getting any better & we sent for Dr Turner today & he said he had the billious fever he says he dont know what it may terminate in yet he dont know but it may turn to typoid yet. If Noah has any notion of buying that land, he had better come soon & see about it before the man will give it out. We had a fine rain last night before that we ware very dry I did think we would make a half a crop
so nothing more at present write soon
to your ever affectionate Sister
