My Dear Mother:—
I hope you will not think me so very mean in not writing more often. you know how busy one is with a little baby to look after. Carrie May is getting to be real cute now though it seems an awful long time before she will walk and talk, I would like to have her photos taken but it cost so much here.
Mrs Crowder the lady who lives in part of this house was married a couple of weeks ago. Mrs Hale has rented it she seems to be a very pleasant lady and only has one child.
I suppose you will be quite busy cleaning house soon I just began but this cold weather prevents me I have so many things I want / to make before summer; I began a pull-through-rug but it seems as if I shall never get it finished I have some summer clothes to make for Carrie May too.
I think it would be quite nice if you could make up your mind to come and see us a while this summer I am sure Angus would be very glad to see you he seems as if he had the blues sometimes and is not so well. he has a real bad cold you must write to us very soon again and say you are coming hoping to find all well, with love,
I am your affectionate daughter
Dollie
Mamie must write to me real soon
