Oliver W. Shibley to Mary C. Shibley, 21 December 1862
Sunday
Dec the 21, 62
Dear wife I take up my pen this morning to write a fiew lines to you which I will send with Henry it is but litle satisfaction for me to write & not receive a leter from you. the boys get leters every week. Henry received one yesterday but said nothing about you & I was very much disapointed. I havent received but one from you since Don came back & Henry has had 3 or 4. I was disapointed yesterday when Henry got a letter & none for me I think we will leave to morrow for that reason I wanted a letter. now, Mollie, I want you should write often for I want to hear from you all.
Henry is geting his discharge & I think in a day or two will leave for home he can tell you more in one hour than I can write in a week. I want you should write all the news. I am well & may this find you the same kiss the children for me, from Oliver, to, Mollie
