Dear Mollie
I wrote you a letter the 9 & told you that I would send you some money. I have done so. I went to the express office this morning sent you $30.00 I sent it to John. I thought you might not be thare & if not he could send it to you. Mary when you get this money I would like to know how much I have sent you in all, including that from davenport. I supose you have kept a corect acount of it all. I have not therefore I would like to know. I have seteled up my clothing bill / & had $7.00 due me on a years clothing I think 20 doll will clothe me the next year. some of the boys was in debt 25 dollars so you see they did not get much pay this time.
 
well Mary I have not got eny letter yet, but I expect one in a day or two. I am geting to be one of the most patient men you ever saw. this is the place to learn what a man is, his patience is tried every day of his life. some are quarling & snarling every day. I have the first time to quarrel yet since I have been in the service. I dont know as I have eny news to write this time. we may stay here a week or two & we may leave in two or three days. no more this time From your husband O Shibly
