Dear Mollie
I received a letter from you yesterday writen the seventh I was glad to hear that you are all well. I am well & so are the rest of the boys. I am glad to hear that you see some of your old friends & can talk of old times. I hope you enjoy your selves. I often think of the time when we were boys & girls together how well we enjoyed our selves & if we would ever have the chance to all meet again. I have not seen Mott but once this summer. he is driving team. he was well when I saw him. you spoke about Atlanta being ours. it is ours, & I think it is time, for we have been four months & one day whare we have heard the deafening roar of cannon every day.

we are now in camp for a short time. it will not be long for they intend to folow them while the weather is good. I think we will stop long anough to get pay & clothing. I think we will get pay next week. if we do I will send you some money as soon as I can we had an order red a fiew minets ago from our corps commander. it was first rate, he gives us great praise for what we have done. we have been in 13 distinct batels since the first of may. I supose you know his name it is John A Logan, one of the bravest men I ever saw. he is always in front in time of batle with his hat off & his long black hair flying & yeling at the top of his voice, give them hell boys for they are runing like devels.

I am glad to hear that you have had a letter from Josaphine. I am glad her litle is geting beter. if they should loose her it would be to bad.

I have not heard from John since last spring. I am looking for a letter from him every mail.

I cannot eny more

this time for the mail is going out at one oclock. write often
