Dear Oliver
Yours of the 11th was received by me this afternoon, and we were all glad to hear that you and Dow were still alive and well, for you have had such a long march that I was afraid you would get sick. I have not written to you since the 8th for we all thought it would be of no use, as you were on the march and would not get them. I will not write a great deal this time, for I think you will be home before a great while, & I can tell you a great deal more and better than I can /
If you see Dow, tell him I went down to Mothers with your letters, and she said Alfred is down from Aurora and she would have him write to him in the morning, so I will not write to him this time. He can read this and it will do just as well. The last letter I had from you, before this one, was written the 23 & 24th of April. You sent a paper more than a week before the letter came. You wrote one the 9th & one the 19th & I got the last, four days sooner than the first, so you see what work they had coming, and if my letters go in the same way you will probably get them after you get home. Dow's have / come right through every time. the one he wrote the 26th got here nearly a week sooner than the one you wrote on the 23rd. I cant tell why it was so, but I suppose there was some delay on the road. I hope you will get this, and you need not feel uneasy if you do not hear from me again, for you are coming home so soon. The papers state that Logan's corps will be in Washington to day, & next tuesday & wednesday is the grand review. I would like to be there and see it, for it will be a grand sight. I hope you will write often for we are glad to hear from you every time. No more this time only we are all well. From Mollie
