Dear beloved Wife
it is with the gratest of pleasure that I can enjoy the present oportunity of right you a fiew lines to let you no that I am well and harty and hoping those fiew lines may find you all well I received your letter and was very glad to hear that you was all well but you can not imagin the feelings that it gave me to hear how Crid has has been acting but I am sadisfied / in no that it gave you just as much trouble as it did me but dear Beloved Wife I dont want you to think that I think hard of you for I am glad you told me about it and that you went after little Sarah I have rote Crid a letter since I received yourn and I have rote one just like it to let you see what kind of a letter I rote him Well Cordeliann I want you to forgive me for righting such a hard letter but it vexed me so when I herd how he had acted that / I could not help righting him a a hard letter and using some hard language in it but I have disowned him as a brother and I dont care whether I ever see him
But Oh the hours that pass while I am siting alone in my shanty or laying on my bunk at night thinking of sweet home and and the dear ones that are there O that I could onley spend a short time with you and them sweet little children once more but if we / never meet on earth I hope we will meet in heaven

So nothing more at present but I remain your dear Companion
to my Beloved Wife and sweet little children
