Dear Beloved Wife
with the greatest of pleasure and much respect it is that I can once more enjoy the privilige of righting you a fiew lines in answer to your kind and much welcomed letter which received today and I was very glad to hear that you was all well but the baby but I was very sorey to hear that the baby had the flesh decay your letter found me well and harty and I am still getting fleshier
well we are going to start tomorow morning on a scout over in Arkansas we will be gone four or five days but where you right Direct your letters to Memphis the health of the Regiment is geting some better Wenman Jones has been sick for some time and he looks very bad he is in the hospitel in town but the rest of the boys from there is all well
Well I think in the course of to or three months it will come my turn for a furlough and then I will come home to see you all
Well I have not much to right at present for I just rote one to you yesterday so I must close for the present buy giving you my best respects and love so nothing more at present but I remain your dear and Affectionate Companion to my
