Dear and Beloved wife with the greatest of pleasure and much respect it is that I can once more enjoy the present oportunity of righting you a fiew lines in answer to your kind and much welcomed letter which I received today and I was very glad to hear from you and to hear that you was all getting better but sorey to hear that you had the rheumatism Beloved Wife you stated in your letter that Loiza young had gone to Ft Wayne to with her

aunt well it is not aney thing more than I expected / I supose she thinks it feels good and we cant expect aney thing of an old sow but a grunt well you stated in your letter that A J Teeple is able to run to parteys and I think that he had better be coming back as soon as posible for his surtificate that he sent aint worth aney thing atal and it is I think he will get off very well if he is not reduced to ranks and Court Martialed when he does come well Cordelia you stated that they would ride right along buy the dore and never stop well I supose they feel very large but meby they will get their feathers cut some time / when they are not looking for it when george was here I could go and see him and wait on him and I supose they think that we aint worth nodesing but I consider that you and and I are just as good as aney of the Teeple tribe and I am with Teeples folks just like the boy was when the Jackass kicked him I consider the source from whence it came and I supose that Clay Peterson has got so wise that he far exceedes aney one that ever lived but I am afraid that his head will get frost bitten and peal off some time and he will loose sight of his wisdom

Well Cordelia as for my self I am just the same old ruff and ready that I was when I left home that streak of wisdom that struck Clay Peterson on the head has not hit my gord shell yet well Cordeliann I would like to come home to see you all again but I will have to wait until my turn comes but just as soon as I can get a furlough I am coming home to see you and I think we could enjoy our selves kind of old fashioned if I was at home. Wenman Jones died on the 29th of August John C Everhart is sick he has the fever well I must close buy telling you that I am fat raged and sasey my paper is full but I will right more next time Hugh Bay to Cordelia A.
