Dear Beloved Wife it is with the greatest of pleasure that I can once more enjoy the preasant oportunity of righting you a fiew lines to let you no that I am well and I hope when those fiew lines comes to hand they will find you and them sweet little children in the enjoyment of good health Well Cordelia we are going to leave hear next sunday or monday and we are going from hear to Vicksburg but I cant tell where we will go from their 
 
Well Cordelia I did not want to carey both of my blankets with me and some of the rest of the boys was sending some of their blankets home I thought I would send my blanket home to you I sent it in a box with a lot of other blankets and I rote your name on a piece of paper and sode it on the blanket the box was sent in the care of Jessey Niblick and just as soon as he gets the box you can go and get the blanket I do not no what it will cost but you will have to pay the / freight when you get the blanket
 
            Well Cordelia I cant right mutch this time for I just rote you a letter the other day but when you right direct your letters just as you did before until I right to you after we get to our journeys end Well I must close so nothing more at preasant but I still remain your Dear Beloved Companion to my Beloved Wife and Children
