Dear Beloved Wife with the greatest of pleasure and mutch respect it is that I can once more enjoy the preasant oportunity of righting you a fiew lines to let you no that I am well and I hope when those fiew lines reaches you they may find you and them sweet little girls in the enjoyment of good health Well we have not left hear yet but we are looking for marching orders every minute I expect this is the last letter that I will get to right to you from hear / But just as soon as we get to where we are going to I will right you a good long letter and tell you all about the trip but I want you to right often
 
Well Cordelia I have started you ten dollars this morning I sent it in care of Jessey Niblick and when it gets through you can go their and get it and I got my likenes taken yesterday and I am going to send it with Lieutenant harts wife to Monmouth and she will put it in the office there and send it to Pleasant Mills and but I could not get a double case and I will / just have to take your likenes out of this case that I have hear and send it with a case I wish Lieutenant Blood would soon come back for I would like to get that likenes of yourn and the babeys tell Nancy and Sarah that they must be good little girls till pap comes home and he will fetch them something prety and I will fetch the baby something as soon as you get that money and them likenesses right me a letter and let me no whether it looks naturel I got a letter from James D Wells the other day and he said / in his letter that he was going to saw you a lot of wood and I want you to right and let me no whether he has done it yet whether he and let me no what he is doing
 
Well Cordelia I have started my likenes with Lieutenant Harts wife but I could not send yours and the babeys for I could not get aney case hear for them but I will keep them until I can get a chance to send them Mrs Hart is going to put my likenes in the Postoffice at monmouth and send it to pleasant mills and you can get it at the Postoffice at Molica I put four stamps on it and I think that is anuf to take it through
