Dear Beloved Wife with the greatest of pleasure it is that I can once more enjoy the oportunity of righting you a fiew lines to let you no that I am well But I have had the ague and took quianine and it has seteled in my head and bones and I have not aney use of my self we are at Alexander again I saw Levi yesterday and you had better think that I was glad to see him I got that handkerchief that you / sent to me But that sugar cake that Nancy Jane sent he got it all smashed up
Well Cordelia I will have to quit for my fingers are so nerves that I have no use of them but I think that I will be all right in a fiew days But I hope thes fiew lines may find you all well my head is so dizy that I cant see the rules on the paper so I moust quit But I will thought a little is better than none so no more But I remain your Dear Beloved Companion
