Patrick Lavin
Patrick Lavin was born around 1831. By the early 1860s, he was probably lived in Shelby County, Tennessee. He enlisted in the Confederate army, and he mustered in as a sergeant in Company C of the 15th Tennessee Infantry on May 21, 1861. The regiment took part in the Battle of Shiloh, the Battle of Perryville, the Battle of Chickamauga, and the Atlanta campaign. He was promoted to 2nd lieutenant in May 1862. He was wounded in June 1864 and spent the next few months in a series of hospitals. He remained in the army until at least September 11, 1864, and he died sometime afterward.
