long absent friend
but not forgoten friend
this evening as it is raining and snoing i will rite you a leter to let you no off oure whare abouts and what we are adoing well we have mooved we mooved the first day of november we are aliving close to the corners well now for somthing else
well mother is seting by the stove darning paps socks and pap is rosting his feat Well the wether is very cold it is cold enough to freas the horns off of a muly cow well i had a slay ride last sunday well i got a leter from Thomas a few days sence and he told me you thought we did not care eney thing about you / but dear sister idont want you to think such a thing for we just think as much of you as eney other sister we have this makes fore leters we have rote to you and have got no answer from you missey has rote you a good long leter and is looking for an answer well now for something else mother sais to tell you that she would like to have litle sarah so well well now diley want you to rite often and let ouse know whare hugh is and ho to rite to him mother feals so bad to think she cant hear from him tell ouse whare to rite to him well now for something else well diley i wish you would come out here on a visit this winter it would pas the time away a good deal beter i would like to come out thare but i cant leave mother she is not able to do the work she is not well nor hant bin aul faul she has / such a lame sholder
the rest of the friends is all well as far as i no lib has not bin well but dont no how she is now tha are agoing to butcher tomorow snooks is filing just as bad as ever but tha hant ouse to file well now that is one good thing aint it whare is youre brothers and what are tha doing and how dose youre oald father and mother get along give them oure love
when you rite direct as you always did onley put box 33 on it pap is working on a sawmil this winter every thing is dear hear now how do you get along and have you plenty well diley we are agoing to have som mins pies this weak doe you like them idoe like them tha are good you beter believe /
