Friend Georgia
I have just finished Billys letter and I will now try and scribble off a few lines to you. I have written all the news to him so I havnt much to write in this piece of paper. I expected to hear some of your Steam Poetry but you didnt write any . if I could write Steam Poetry I would try and write some but I aint no poet at all.

If I could think if something to write
I would scribble it off with all my might
I shall have to wait untill I go in a fight
Then I shall have any quantity to write.

I shall expect some from you / next time Billy writes. I like to read Steam Poetry pretty nice. seems just so I was in Billys room writing this letter. I guess I wrote more letters when I was in Westford than I ever did before. I presume I shall write any quantity out here before I go home. I have received about 20 letters since I have been out here. I have written as many, if I keep on I shall be a deasent writer. Well I guess I have written enough this time so I will bring to a close. I will do better next time.

Please write again soon.
