Dear Brother & Sister
I do not feel much like writing to day but as I know you will be looking for a letter from me I will write you a few lines I got along safe and stood the trip better than I expected tho it was more unpleasant riding than when we went to Pitts I got here just in time to report myself on the roll going to Washington The doctors appeared very friendly and I guess we will get along I will not write any more now as I am too sleepy I will write again in a few days and give you / the perticulars. My love to the children a kiss for Sallie. Remember me to Mr Slagle Mr Smith and especially to Mr Lutton also to their families Write soon as ever your
