Dear Sisters
Thinking you would like to hear from us thought I would write we are all well except the baby we have had his foot opperated upon Doctors Warren and A Gary done week ago last wedenesday cut it in two places gave him chloroform he come out of it in a few minets all right did not put the shoe on till the next day he was all right till they put it on we had to hold him keep him geting down since then he been very worrisome cant use his foot much yet think he must suffer a good deal with it the cuts are quite bad Allen / comes once in two or three days and see too it his foot has been swolen very bad had too take shoe off Doc been here to day put it on he says he think it will come strait it will take it long time we have to get every thing we can think of to amuse him books seems to be what he likes best to day got the big bible for him worries good deal nights gets along as well as I should think he could if he should be any worse will let you know)
Monday he is quite bright to day been creeping got up on table Mr S Brown is very low did not expect he would live throug last week heard last night they had little more hopes of him A Burton is still very sick James is goin after little Saly Wilbur so I cant write much more will write again let you know how he gets along
