Dear Wife

                        Mr Anderson one of our Sutlers has this moment informed me that he is going by the train which will arrive in a minute or two that to Cinti. I have only time to say that we are all well and in good condition. I wrote you last night by the mail but this will reach you sooner.

 

Send my watch (new silver one) not the old one and also a pocket compass by him. He will return next week and find us wherever we are. Send me also a pair of cork soles for my boots. Love to all. Your loving husband. N. C. M^cLean
