Daniel Rohrer
Daniel Rohrer was born around 1819 in Pennsylvania. He married Catharine Witmer in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, on October 19, 1848, and they had at least three children: Alice, born around 1855; James, born around 1857; and Stephen, born around 1860. They lived in Chapman, Pennsylvania, and Rohrer earned a living as a clerk. By 1860, they were living in McKees Half Falls, and Rohrer was working as a farmer. They owned $2,500 of real estate and $500 of personal property.
 
A decade later, their wealth had grown to $4,500 of real estate and $850 of personal property. Rohrer supported the Republican Party and served as Justice of the Peace in the 1870s. He also became postmaster of McKee’s Half Falls in 1878. He died of heart disease there in May 1880.
