Isabella Sturtevant
Isabella Sturtevant (maiden name: Litchfield) was born on July 4, 1810, in Weatherfield, Vermont, to Caleb Litchfield and Betsy Dunbar. Her father was a veteran of the American Revolution. She married Luther Sturtevant, and they had at least two children: Horatio, born around 1839; and John, born on June 15, 1840.
 
They settled in Keene, New Hampshire, and her husband worked as a farmer and laborer. In 1850, they owned $1,000 of real estate. A decade later, they owned $1,500 of real estate and $500 of personal property, and by 1870, they owned $4,000 of real estate and $1,100 of personal property. Her husband died on February 10, 1872. She remained in Keene, and by 1900, she was living in her daughter-in-law Clara’s household. She died in Keene on July 20, 1905.
